Duas Rodas launches natural solution for salty products during NIS 2024

Natural flavor enhances the salty taste and umami fixation of the product, promoting low sodium intake in the formulation and making an important contribution to the development of plant-based and clean label foods

Aroma natural realça o gosto salgado e a fixação umami do produto, promovendo baixo aporte de sódio na formulação e trazendo importante contribuição no desenvolvimento de alimentos plant-based e clean label

São Paulo, April 2024 – To meet growing movements of consumers seeking healthier indulgent foods, Duas Rodas developed a natural flavor thatenhances the salty taste and umami fixation of the product to which it is applied, promoting the feeling of fullness and overall quality. The innovation was presented during the NIS – Nutri Ingredients Summit 2024, which took place on April 23 and 24, in São Paulo.

“Our natural flavor is obtained through enzymatic extraction of vegetable raw materials, which in addition to enhancing the salty and umami flavor contributes green and mildly spicy notes to the food. Another great advantage is the low sodium content in the product formulation, especially when compared to items usually used in the market, such as monosodium glutamate and yeast extract, for example, making an important contribution to the development of plant-based and clean label products”, explains Luiz Aguiar, Marketing Manager at Duas Rodas. He adds that the ingredient is also free of allergens and No GMO.

With performance validated by quantitative descriptive profile (PDQ) tests, the produsct enhances the flavor in different categories of applications, such as sauces, soups, seasonings, snacks and meat substitutes.
