São Paulo, August 2021 – For the fifth consecutive year, Duas Rodas is among the finalists for the most innovative products or ingredients at the FI Innovation Awards 2021. Specialitá Aera 1 is among those chosen to compete in the final in the Most Innovative Product category of the main Brazilian award for the food ingredients, products and supplements industry, whose proposal is to value innovation and recognize the creation of products in the sector that offer benefits to the end consumer.
For the first time in Brazil, Specialitá Aera was developed using a combination of raw material and process technologies. When beaten for 5 minutes in an electric mixer, it incorporates air (aera) and obtains a mousse-like texture, which allows to expand and diversify the texture possibilities for applications in ice cream and confectionery products.
The portfolio combines indulgence and convenience in Chocolate flavors, with intense hints of semisweet chocolate, and smooth milky and vanilla notes; and White Chocolate, with sweet, milky and buttery notes. It can be used as a ready-to-use creamy paste as a filling and topping for ice cream, popsicles and confectionery products, and also in the aerated mousse version, allowing you to cover, decorate and fill cakes, pies, cupcakes and sweets in general, as well as being able to be served as a mousse dessert.

Off-SAT, GranFlavor, T-Sweet and iSugar: other recognized Duas Rodas solutions
In the last five years, Duas Rodas’ products and ingredients have gained prominent recognition at the FI Innovation Awards.
In 2020, Off-SAT, a technological solution that allows a reduction of up to 90% of saturated fat in laminated, extruded or molded cookies, was among the five finalists in the Most Innovative Ingredient category.
In 2019, GranFlavor won 1st place in the Most Innovative Ingredient category. The exclusive powdered aroma encapsulation technology promotes a surprising sensory impact compared to the usual microencapsulation technologies, especially in terms of odor release.
In 2018, iSugar, a basis for the partial or total replacement of sugar used in ice cream formulations, was among the top three in the Most Innovative Functional Ingredient category.
And, in 2017, Duas Rodas was ranked among the top three in the Most Innovative Food Ingredient category with T-Sweet, a 100% natural aroma technology that rounds out the flavor of processed sugar-reduced products, such as yogurts and nectars, by example.
