Unique and extra-indulgent recipes highlight Specialitá and Selecta innovations at Fispal Sorvetes 2024

São Paulo, June 2024 – Surprising combinations of flavors, unique textures and innovative inclusions are the main attractions that can be seen in more than 50 edible ice cream recipes at the Duas Rodas booth at Fispal Sorvetes 2024, which will be held from June 11 to 14, at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo (SP).

The recipes present the 18 launches for the season by Selecta and Specialitá, Duas Rodas’ leading brands in ingredients for the ice cream market, in proposals for extra-indulgent flavors and a special touch of sophistication, with the aim of providing incredible sensory experiences.

Among the recipes that can be tasted at the 305m² booth, there will be dozens of new goodies inspired by the extra indulgence movement, with reinterpretations of desserts and sweets in the form of ice cream, such as pistachio pudding, yellow fruit pavé, pastel de Belém, cuca banana nevada, french toast and roll cake, as well as original combinations such as mustard with yellow fruit, gorgonzola with apricots and popcorn with caramel and chocolate.

Trends in healthiness and functionality will also feature prominently in recipes in which açaí is the star, including indulgent flavors in plant-based versions, zero added sugar, with vitamin C, whey protein and fiber, among others.

Four Islands with exclusive launches and recipes

Recipes of concept proposals and product launches can be found at the four islands distributed around the booth, according to the brands:

– Selecta and Specialitá launches: the island will present recipes prepared with the 18 launches for the 2024 season, including the exclusive Chocolat Specialitá Chocolate with Marshmallow Paste (with marshmallow pieces), Specialitá White Chocolate Cream with Blackberry and the new flavors of the Selecta Classic Cream line in 3kg packages and sachets.

Selecta: the island will present recipes and innovations of the brand that offers the most complete portfolio for the ice cream market and celebrates 76 years in 2024.

Specialitá: in addition to new items with surprising inclusions, the island will present the other items of the brand that stands out for value-added products, with pastes and ripples. There will be two displays: one for gelato and the other with the ingredients that also serve the confectionery market.

Açaí and Selecta Equilibrium: this island will present portfolios focused on the concepts of healthiness and functionality, with plant-based, vegan, zero added sugar and açaí solutions in different recipes.

In natura blends tasting counter

There will also be a tasting counter for fillings of the most unique textures and flavors.

There will be 26 items for visitors to test out different textures, flavors and other characteristics of in natura products.

“Fispal Sorvetes is the most anticipated moment of the year, where we meet friends and partners and present all the work done in the last 12 months in terms of product development and new concepts. In this participation, we will present launches that are very connected with the global trends that most influence our market. Those who visit our booth will also find authorial concepts that promise to be very successful”, says Marco Henriques, Marketing Manager at Duas Rodas.

Mix and Selecta Chocolates product display

The Duas Rodas booth will also have an exclusive display for standout confectionery and chocolate products from the portfolio of its Mix and Selecta Chocolates brands.

Arena Gelado Experience

As in previous editions, Duas Rodas is a master sponsor and curates the attractions of Fispal’s Arena Gelado Experience, the only space in the event with a schedule of classes and free talks for visitors. The initiative is promoted in partnership with Carpigiani, supplier of equipment for the edible ice cream market and Prack, packaging supplier. 

This year, the Arena will have its space expanded and will offer 140 seats. Audience participation is on a first-come, first-served basis.

The program, which will begin every day at 2:00 p.m., will have three attractions per day, between talks and classes, from June 11 to 13; and two on the last day of the fair, 14. The classes will cover topics such as açaí, soft ice cream, boozy ice cream and gelato recipes exploring different consumption occasions and will be presented by specialists from the Duas Rodas and Carpigiani technical teams.

Guest speakers will address topics such as ice cream trends in Brazil and consumer profiles, trade marketing practices to maximize results and artificial intelligence as an ally for business.

Portfolio present in barista and chef pizzaiolo presentations

The Specialitá and Selecta brands will also be present at attractions at Fispal Food Service, which takes place in parallel to Fispal Sorvetes. Ingredients such as Selecta Top Caramel flavor, Specialitá Forest Fruits Ripple flavor and Selecta Classic Truffle Sundae will enhance the barista João Bin’s show classes at Astoria´s booth, an Italian espresso company.

Chef pizzaiolo Fabiano Olivares will also apply several products from Specialitá and Selecta – such as blends and flavors – in the pizza recipe demonstrations he will put on during Fispal Food Service.

Fispal Food Service ends up uniting these worlds and we will take the opportunity to show our ingredients developed for each of these markets”, adds Henriques.
