São Paulo, September 2018 – The multinational Duas Rodas, a national leader in the manufacture of aromas and ingredients for the food and beverage industry, presents the iSugar solution to the Market. iSugar, a convenient solution for the partial or total replacement of sugar used in edible ice cream formulations, won the 3rd place in the most innovative functional ingredient category of the Food Ingredients Innovation Awards 2018.
ISugar offers a relevant option for the ice cream segmentby supporting the global trend of health and wellness consumption, which is on the rise in Brazil. According to a Mintel research report released in April this year, 53% of Brazilian consumers of ice cream interviewed said they are interested in trying out sugarless ice creams.
The new ingredient solution can be applied in a wide variety of product, including gelatos, ice creams, sorbets, popsicles and Mexican paletas. 3rd place at Fi Innovation Awards
The ingredient of Duas Rodas won 3rd place in the category Most Innovative Functional Ingredient of the Food Ingredients Innovation Awards 2018. This is the main national food industry award, which aims to value innovation and recognize the creation of products in the industry that offer benefits to the final consumer.
Last year, Duas Rodas won 3rd place in the category Most Innovative Food Ingredient of Fi Innovation Awards 2017 with T-Sweet, a natural ingredient technology that promotes the reduction of 25% to 33% of sugar in industrial products including yoghurts and nectars, as well as in other categories.
